  About              Us!

Flexible Access

Students may come into the library anytime between 8: 30am- 2:30pm to check out books with  over 15,000 titles to choose from. Students in grades 2-5 are taught how to use the online catalog to locate books on the shelves as well as to put books on hold.  Students are also encouraged to use the online catalog to find books they want at other schools.  We will gladly interlibrary loan any book a student requests. Our website is available all the time with access to databases for research, and our library catalog.

Lessons in the Library

Library lessons are a collaborative effort.  Classroom teachers plan with the school librarian library stations and research projects that reflect the goals and standards of both the school and library curriculum. This collaboration could not happen without the flexibility of an open library schedule.  Teachers and the librarian taylor make every library schedule to fit the time needs of the lessons.  Some projects may take many hours over consecutive days and some lessons may only take 15 minutes.

What our Students Learn

Our students learn many different things each and every year in our library. All students learn basic information about library organization and usage, staying safe on the internet, ethical uses of  information, literary genres, as well as many technology tools.
